The Brainwave Technologist Basic Education Course is the starting point in your continuing education. It is designed to provide all the information you need to begin providing Brainwave Optimization™ to clients. During the course, you will learn basic principles of brain functioning and neuroanatomy, brainwave frequencies, how to read a Brainwave Assessment, effective techniques for working with clients, and basic principles of running your Brainwave Optimization business.

You can choose from two options for completing the Basic curriculum:

• Online: The online course consists of five units presented online the first four weeks of the program.  After successful completion of the online modules, you will visit the Brain State Technologies® headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona for seven days of hands-on learning, including working with clients.

• Residential: The residential option consists of three weeks of instruction at our headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona where you will learn everything you need to know to provide service to your clients.

You can teach as many people as you like. Your Licensing Specialist can advise you about additional costs for training more than one person under one license.

Yes. You can educate your own technologists. However, only individuals who have completed the Brain State Technologies education program can be certified by Brain State Technologies

Due to the dynamic nature of our technology – and the importance of offering providers with the latest in discoveries and results, provider  education is continuous. Webinars are held regularly to support providers in learning new protocols and practical applications.

As an provider, you will become a member of our exclusive online provider forum where you can post questions and ideas and seek help both from fellow providers and Brain State Technologies staff. Our Case Management team provides information and education to help you work effectively with individual clients.

You will receive a regular provider newsletter that shares stories of successes, opportunities and new information to help you succeed.

Brain State Technologies also offers client-oriented webinars nearly every month called “BrainTalk with Lee Gerdes” to help communicate how Brainwave Optimization can help people. These are designed to help you attract new clients.

An annual “Masters Education” program is held to provide a comprehensive overview of critical topics, advancements in technology and the state of the organization.

There are a variety of options from which you can choose to launch your Brainwave Optimization work, with initial investments starting as low as $5,000. The Brain State Technologies difference is that with your investment, you receive everything you need to launch your business – training, software, hardware and furnishings are all provided. Technology is upgraded on a regular basis. You also receive continuous professional technical, case management, and business support. Financing is available. Providers who become certified by Brain State Technologies as Brainwave Technologists are also qualified to seek certification from the Natural Therapies Certification Board as a Certified Neurofeedback Technician by the Natural Therapies Certification Board. The Education Director can direct you to resources where you can seek this independent certification.

Many different kinds of people have found success in brainwave optimization. Most typically, a successful technologist begins with a passion for helping others. Sometimes, we find that a person who has a basic interest or some exposure to how the brain works – or a strong curiosity to learn – is most successful. Entrepreneurial drive and an ability to educate others about the benefits of a balanced brain are also key ingredients.

Your license belongs to you and hence, is portable.  As with any business enterprise, you will want to be judicious in choosing your next location. Should an affiliate already exist in your desired location, you will want to evaluate opportunities to collaborate, to specialize or to serve an adjacent geographic market.

When we receive requests from potential clients (often via our website), we refer them to the nearest provider. If there is more than one affiliate in the area, we provide names of all provider and suggest that the client determine which office best suits their needs.

Brain State Technologies® offers support across the board to our affiliate partners. We have a technology help desk that provides hardware and software support, as well as a client management team that helps with all your client-related questions. We also provide examples of marketing materials that we use on a regular basis and a means to share business-based ideas with other affiliate partners worldwide through our online affiliate forum

Yes. All data is encrypted and complies with numerous data transfer policies and laws. Client data is anonymously entered into a central database where we use it to conduct research and evaluate and improve efficacy.  This research leads to rapid software changes, which are automatically rolled out to provider partners around the world on a nightly basis.

Currently Brain State’s worldwide network of providers has served more than 35,000 clients globally and continues to serve more than 250 new clients each week.  This information has created the largest relational database of brainwave activity on the planet known today and has an unlimited research potential.

Brain State Technologies is able to provide a lease arrangement to qualified individuals. This arrangement allows you to become a provider with a minimum initial deposit. In addition, specialists like physicians or therapists may obtain a license in order to enhance the service they provide to an existing or growing clientele, with an initial deposit as low as $5,000.

An provider may choose to acquire a mobile unit in order to be able to meet clients in their homes or at other locations. The mobile unit package is the same as the basic license, except that it includes a laptop computer instead of a desktop unit. There is a modest additional investment for the mobile unit.
