“We heard about Brain State Technologies, and more specifically, The Evolutionary Brain, from our nephew in July 2008. He had done eight sessions with Kean in the fall of 2007. He thought that this was something that might help with our 32 year old son, who had been diagnosed with an Obsessive Thinking Disorder with OCD traits more than five years ago. At that time, our son had sunk into a deep depression which had plummeted us into a dark world where we felt very helpless and scared. We took our son to a psychologist who counseled him and put him on an anti-psychotic medication to slow his thinking down. His life pretty much consisted of going to work, coming home, sitting in the garage smoking two packs of cigarettes and downing over a six pack of beer every night. He was so “into his head” that it was like living with a robot. He would hardly speak to us and if we asked him a question it would take him about seven to ten seconds to respond, as if it took him that long to process our question before answering. It was a very stressful time for us all.
We decided to give BSC a try and made arrangements with Kean to bring our son down to Pennsylvania to be assessed and trained. He did ten sessions and seemed to have a positive experience. The first thing we noticed was that he was sleeping better. At the end of the first week, he was talking a lot and responding normally. He is now at the end of his third week after training and we are completely amazed at his progress! He is off the medication he was using, he feels happy, has increased self confidence, he is smoking half of what he was before, feels more comfortable around other people and is much more focused and back into life. He even tried some beer after the three weeks were up and didn’t like the taste or the way he felt the next day. So he has given it up!
We can now look back and see that his anxieties have been haunting him for over half of his life. He is an absolute JOY to be around! We realize that Brain State Conditioning has changed the course of his life and our lives.
